Shogaya Yamazoe will open in Gion, Kyoto, in winter 2024.
With 20 years of experience in the antique art industry,I am dedicated to offering sincere service.
The shop will feature a wide selection of hanging scrolls, folding screens, framed works, and unmounted "mekuri" pieces,catering to both collectors and those interested in Japanese culture.

Shogaya Yamazoe specialized in 16th to early 20th century East Asian painting and calligraphy,particularly Nanga(Bunjinga),Zen-inspiredworks,and ink paintings（Sumi-e）.
I am particularly dedicated to showcasing the beauty of sumi (ink) in Japanese art.
In addition to standout pieces for the tokonoma (alcove), I also offer works that highlight the aesthetics of "subtle beauty" by complementing bonsai and suiseki (viewing stones).
